What follows is an unedited excerpt from a LiveJournal account maintained by a fan of the band Korn and the anime Dragon Ball Z.
2:45 PM: Woke up extra early today in anticipation of the debut of a new Korn/DBZ video from VegeTrunks1990, did not disappoint. He used some of my favorite clips from the series and totally brought new meaning to both the song and the visuals.
6:14 PM: After trading Korn/DBZ vidz on Soulseek with xXxKrillin420xXx, I’ve gotten just the right inspiration for my masterwork. Will continue to cut together clips from the Frieza Saga with Korn – All In the Family (feat. Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit). I think that we can all agree on the great symbolism at work here.
11:01 PM: Got jacked up on some Mountain Dew Code Red and decided to organize a YouTube raid against the morons that make the bafflingly uninspired Metallica/DBZ videos. It’s like those guys don’t even get it. Had to show them a lesson in humility by commenting on their videos.
1:53 AM: Taco Bell was all out of Mild Sauce (or so they say!) so I had to go with the Wild Sauce. Will report back later when I’m done spraying diarrhea all over the bathroom. I bet it will look like a kamayamaya and sound like Jonathan Davis’ scat section in the middle of Freak on a Leash.
3:34 AM: Had this idea for uploading a video of Vegeta saying his classic “Over 9000!!!!” line, but decided against it at the last minute. It’s not really my style since it doesn’t use any Korn audio, but I bet it could become a classic someday.
5:27 AM: Decided to do some freestyling mashups of Korn/DBZ by playing Korn’s classic “Life is Peachy” album on my stereo and playing the Imperfect Cell Saga on my TV with the sound muted, trying to see if they sync up in any meaningful ways. This method isn’t quite as tight of a crossover as most of the traditional stuff you see on YouTube, but it can often have a free-er vibe that can be inspirational in its own way. Think of it as playing jazz, but with Korn songs and DBZ clips.
8:14 AM: Jammed a classic playlist by GokuJonD while getting ready for bed. Today has been pretty much the most eventful day of the past 6 months.
