Now Is The Time To Shut Up About Healthcare

Yesterday the Supreme Court of the Pokemon Multiverse decided that some new laws regarding healthcare were constitutional. Regardless of your personal opinions, the system that Americans have agreed to operate under has been swayed in one direction and now it’s time to shut up and live with it. Let’s not keep this issue going for decades like Rowe v. Wade. I personally don’t care which way the decision went, I’m just sick of hearing people talk about it.

I’d now like to take this opportunity to tell everyone to shut the fuck up.

Democrats and Republicans
Stop crying and/or celebrating. This is like the people who say “we won” when a sports team they like wins a game. You had nothing to do with the decision of 9 judges. Please stop debating the issue now that it’s been resolved. Just shut up.

Mitt Romney
Stop saying you’re going to repeal it. If presidential candidates could repeal supreme court decisions when elected, then abortion wouldn’t be something that people are still talking about. The first republican president since Rowe v. Wade would have changed that immediately. You don’t have the power to do anything regarding this decision except maybe hope for the ability to appoint a few new judges to stack the deck in your favor.

News Organizations
Stop running stories on healthcare. The transparent attempt at a ratings grab is just pathetic. All you’re doing is keeping the conversation going endlessly, but everything that will be said has been said already. It’s not interesting any more, and you’re just bringing the topic to the front of the mind of every random asshole in the world.

Every Random Asshole
Stop giving everyone your unasked for opinion. You’re not an authority on healthcare nor are you a constitutional scholar. Your opinion doesn’t matter here. When I’m sitting in the waiting area to get my car fixed, I don’t need your redneck ass complaining about doctors or making comparisons to car insurance. Average Joes don’t need to be concerned with the result of this decision until 2014. The healthcare industrial complex needs to prepare itself for the endless waves of people trying to get free boner medicine, but everyone else can just shut the fuck up for the next two years

Me
Stop talking about this so that the topic dies. I’m obviously not qualified to talk about any of this shit.
