After an agonizing two years, Tyler Perry’s original sitcom based on his original movie which was based on his original play, has finally come to an end. In a surprising double whammy decision, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne has also been canceled. I think that one was canceled a couple months ago, but I’m just now finding out about it. Most likely so are you, because really why would you be looking up news about Tyler Perry’s awful tv shows?
TBS has been clearing out the trash and adding some quality material lately, so what will they be replacing these shows with? A new sitcom by Tyler Perry and a new sitcom by Ice Cube. Literally the only line up that would be considered a step back from it’s current programming. Tyler Perry is continuing his trend of just making sitcom versions of his movies that were first his plays. His latest atrocity is some garbage called “For Better or Worse” based on the shitty movie “Why Did I Get Married”. Ice Cube on the other hand is trying something new for him, basing a sitcom off of a terrible movie called “Are We There Yet?”. Oh well, you win some and you lose some.
